Brushy Mountain Road

This is a 'closer to home'  snake or dragon out of Wilksboro.  It has over 110 curves in approximately 11 miles.  The ride up 268 is a very nice ride and Brushy Mountain Road is a lot of fun.

 

  • 321 North
  • Catch 268 east/north of Lenoir
  • Take 268 into Wilksboro

 

Have Lunch

  • Make right onto Oakwood Road where 18/268 split off to the left
  • Oakwood becomes Brushy Mountain road

 

  Pay attention to the following on Brushy Mountain Road.  

 This road splist off to the left and right in a few places.

 

  • Make/bear left where Brushy Mountain Road runs into/becomes Littia Springs Road
  • Bear right where Brushy Mountain Road splits to Orchard Road to the left
  • Bear left where road splits to Bethany Church Road to the right
  • At Old Gilreath make right staying on Brushy Mountain Road

  • Make left at end of Brushy Mountain onto Linnes Mill Road

  • Linneys Milll becomes Taylor Springs
  • Take Taylor Springs to 115 south 
  • 115 South to 40/or into Mooresville
